| "Thank You Jesus" By: Sylvia Cavins Reed (written Feb. 18, 2001) Thank you Lord for another night Thank you this morning for see daylight Thank you for watching while we did rest With our folded hands upon our breast. Thank you for the Bible we have to read Thak you for in It I find all I need. Thank you for the roof that keeps us dry We will trade it for a mansion by and by. Thank you for the food and some to spare Our cupboards not empty, there's food in there Thank you for the rain that falls and the snow Thank you for the flowers and the food we grow. Thanks for the sun that shines so bright Thanks for the moon that gives us light. Thanks dear Lord for being in control Thank you forever for saving my soul. Thanks for my family I love so much Please blessed Jesus show them you loving touch. Thanks for the church where I go and pray Where all our problems seem to go away. Lord we know you loved us so much Tank you for sending down your loving touch. Dear Jesus again, thanks for everything Let me bow my head to reverence my King. Thank you dear Lord for your life you gave Thank you for getting up from the grave My knees are bended, and I humbly kneel Thank you dear Jesus for you spirit I feel. |
"Assurance" By: Jean Varney Its not just the light when the sun is bright That God is by our side. When the shadows fall and the night is dark His arms are sill open wide. He speaks to me in the silence That he never will leave me alone. He loves me too much to forsake me He knows and cares for his own. His love is so great that no need is too small. So if we just trust and wait The help will come before its too late Fro the One who gave his all. When my cross is heavy and the night is long And my load is hard to bear. It is then that he gives to my heart a song That speaks of his tender care. Lord, help me to be willing to bear my cross And just keep my trust in thee. Just keep me always in thy loving care Till the lights of home I see. The trials of this life are hard to bear And we often are longing to rest. But he who appointed to each our task Knows just what is needful and best. He places us oftimes in the furnance To remove the gold from the dross. Because we need refining It the purpose of the Cross. |
